[chirp_users] CHIRP 20141119 and the Kenwood TH-D7(G) flashing "PF3" ?
I tried using CHIRP 20141119 with a genuine FTDI cable to read from my TH-D7(G) and the only result I could see was a mysterious "PF3" message flashing on the bottom of the THD7's screen.
Does anyone know if CHIRP is known to work with the TH-D7(G) ?
Or what the PF3 message means?
Thanks.

Are you connecting to the data jack or the speaker/mic jack? You have to use the data jack. On Nov 21, 2014 8:52 PM, "Red" reply.via.list@gmail.com wrote:

Ryan, you hit the nail on the head.
I was foolishly plugging the cable into the same two (speaker & mic) ports that it fits on a different radio. It has been so long since I programmed the D7 that I just wasn’t thinking, didn’t use the PC port. “Oh, DUH!”
So much for trying to kill two birds with one stone.
Thanks!
