Re: [chirp_users] side by side configuration is incorrect
The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log for more detail.
This is not a chirp error, and appears (from a bit of googling) that it's related to some microsoft/windows libraries getting out of whack on your system. See the following link, and the rest of the hits google returns for "side by side configuration is incorrect":

I was hoping that you might know what is missing. I know it is a Windows error but the only program that has this error is Chirp. The laptop was wiped and everything is reinstalled. I am not sure if I am missing something that Chirp needs. That link that you had suggested installing C++ but I never had that before or on the XP computer where Chirp works.
