[chirp_users] RadioReference data?
While looking at the bottom of the Chirp wiki, I saw that itmentions RadioReference as an internet-available source of information, however while skipping through the rather limited doc, I found no mention ofhow this is done.
Has anyone figured out how to use it? Does it simply use the .csv filesthat you can get via the premium subscription, use the SOAP based web service, or is it something else? I suspect it would be quite popular with the RadioReference crowd - we have a lot of hams there - if this were well-documented
I could write up some documentation on the subject, if I knew whereto start...TIA...Mike
It's a function within Chirp, under the Radio menu. Feel free to write some documentation.

On the Radio Menu, they have "query data base" and you have several options. Some you must enter your username and password.

in order to download data from the RR database directly into radio programming software you would first need a subscription to RR, $15 for 18-days or $30 for 360-days. however, anyone can access the database manually without cost. some will cut and paste frequency information http://wiki.radioreference.com/index.php/Excel_Copy/Paste_Special_to_Softwa re
there is also a forum (free) on how to use and access the database http://forums.radioreference.com/database-discussion-forum/
does this help you?
