[chirp_users] Unable to write csv file
I'm using the latest daily build available on the website ... software recognizes my UV-5...and I can write to the radio.
I've tried to export the radio setting to a csv file...both as a normal user and as administrator....chirp says the file exists, but it does not show up in windows. I've tried both the installer and zip versions of chirp-daily-20170714
I'm assuming I'm doing something wrong...but can't identify it.
thanks thom k3hrn
Tom, Where did you look for it? In Linux, it puts it in documents, maybe because I uploaded a file from there. So perhaps it defaults to the last folder you accessed in Chirp. HTH. In windows, you can specify a location...which I did. Then, I used the windows search tool to "find" the file...the OS reported the file was in c:\uv5 But, there is no file in that folder....chip and windows think the file exisits, but it doesn't seem to be there.
Did you search for the exact file name, or did you just search for *.CSV? I've found that if you are exact, you may not get the file name correct. I would go directly to that folder and look for any file.

Thom,
Install mlocate then run sudo updatedb then give the command as regular userto:
locate filename.csv
Where filename.csv is the name of the file.
locate *.csv
Will locate all your csv files.
