Hi, I'm trying to put in frequencies into the table I downloaded from my Baofeng 5R. I arrowed to an empty row, one that is numbered, but only has zeros in the accompanying fields. But when just typing into the frequency field, it jumps me elsewhere on the table. I am not sure with my screenreader to import from RadioReference.com from the radio menu. Thanks. Glenn

Glenn,
It is because you haven't clicked into the frequency field (or any other field) yet. So CHIRP thinks you are wanting to jump to the channel that corresponds to the first digits that you are typing in.

How does one click into the field with a keyboard?

Looks like if I press the space bar on a field, I can enter data. And press enter when I'm done.
