[chirp_users] Unknown clones
Assuming I have an appropriate data cable how do I get Chirp to talk to an unknown clone radio? Ron

What do you mean by "unknown clone"? Do you mean a radio this is a variant of a similar CHIRP supported radio? Or do you mean a radio that is not supported by CHIRP at all?

I don't know if this radio is supported by chirp. I can find no information about it. It is a Lyt Q-18. I assume there are others out there like it under a different brand name. Ron

You mentioned something about this here or somewhere else recently. I could find nothing about about a Q-18 or the LYT brand. Without the factory programming software to reverse engineer the cloning process, there is little that can be done even if you have the appropriate programming cable.
