Seems if you have a little disagreement with Dan that you are immediately moderated. A pretty cowardly move seeing I own several ham radio groups on Yahoo, now for over 3 years and have never had to moderate a user's comments. I posted a comment maybe 4 hours ago regarding the proper cable for the Yaesu FT8800 and it has yet to get posted. And I have been thanked many times by and for helping list members with Chirp and Mac users and have taken
my time off list to save list traffic to help others. Yet my comments are now under the sword of Damocles via Dan, the site guru. I will now on all my lists recommend against using Chirp even though I have defended it vigorously in the past.
I dare you to post this Dan.
I figured this might make it through Dan's moderation. Thanks, I have some renewed faith in you Dan. And if you weren't at fault then I humbly apologize to you and will continue to support the good software Chirp is.
And to others, I don't need your input on this disagreement. If it was my mistake then I accept it. That's how we handle things on Yahoo and very successfully so.
Milton.

Drag it out in the open. That will fix it!

I have no idea what you're talking about. Your post went straight to the list, as I'm sure you noticed.
I don't moderate the list in general (haven't got the time), and you haven't been on the "special" list since back around the time when you called yourself "Phaeton".

Milton, Also, check your spam folder on yahoo. For whatever reason, I have found several chirp mailing list emails there. It has to be trained what is and is not junk.

Looking at this I guess an apology wouldn't go amiss. Dan works hard and is unpaid for all intents and purpose for his software and shouldn't put up with the crap that he often gets. It's a thankless task to develop software and it's often without reward and people need to understand that it's very good value for the money they pay for it (and a little thank you goes a long way).

Yahoo is very slow today, I have had similar problems with my own posts to my own lists.
I did not moderate myself, but the posts took forever to post.

Has the Baofeng UV-82X been added to the CHIRP list? This is the model that is is VHF/220.
Hi John, It appears to support UV-82 from the wiki page, and looking at the driver code. As there are so many variations (some of them being in name or physical appearance, and not in code or memory format), you would just have to give it a try. If it doesn't work, then you will probably want to open a new model request on chirp site.

Thanks Jens. I’ll give it a try and go the Model Request if needed.

Wow, this brings back fond memories of the flame wars on the .34/.94 repeater in Kansas City back in the '70s.
Nothing changes but the underlying technology.
