[chirp_users] New Daily Build
Greetings,
A new daily build of CHIRP is available. This includes changes made directly to the tree yesterday, and may include additional features, bug fixes, and/or bugs. If you are interested in trying it, grab it from the following location:
http://trac.chirp.danplanet.com/chirp_daily/daily-03312012
A list of the changes included in this build (since the last daily) follows:
Changes for Build #47 [Tom Hayward tom@tomh.us] [vx5] Add support for reading masked memories, masking and unmasking memories. #94
On import/download, mark masked memories as empty, and populate fields anyway. On edit of masked memory, convert to normal memory. On delete of normal memory, mark memory as masked and empty. On delete of masked memory, mark memory as unused and empty.
Example: http://i.imgur.com/vapi9.png
[Dan Smith dsmith@danplanet.com] Add tools/check_for_bug.sh, which is intended to be used as a pretxncommit hook to enforce having a bug for each commit.
This one will go against the catch-all bug #93

All,
Fedora Linux RPMs for the latest chirp-daily build are now available in the KK7DS Ham-Apps yum repository. To add the repository as a software source, please follow these instructions: http://www.d-rats.com/component/content/article/30-d-rats-yum-repository/
I know it says d-rats, the chirp files are in the same repository.
After setting up the repository, open the "Add/Remove Software" tool and go to "software sources" under the system menu. Make sure the "KK7DS Ham Apps Beta Software" line is checked (enabled).
For some reason, the Fedora package manager likes the beta versions better that the daily builds, so you may not see the daily release in the list the first time you update. If you don't see it, open a terminal window and enter: yum update chirp-daily_daily_03312012 Or: yum update chirp-daily_daily_033120121.fc16
That should install the latest daily build.
For those who don't wish to use the repository but still want the RPM (binary or source), please look here: http://ham.n0so.net/fileadmin/ham/apps/rpm/fedora/16/noarch/chirp-daily_0331...

Happy Testing,

Dan,
Is your program supposed to show banks on the Yaesu VX6R? I downloaded the data from the radio, and it did not show any banks. The last column was the skip column
