No I didn't download anything from UV 9R to Chirp but I reset the radio to default which most people say you do then reset it to English, so you say download the content to Chirp then put in what you need i/E Marine channel then it will upload afresh. Please tell me I'm correct it does let me put my radio model in on a drop down do I do that as well Thanks in advance

Hi Richard, Yes, you must first download from the radio. Then you can and probably should save the clean image in the file save as menu. Then you can import a CSV file with your wanted frequencies, or just edit what is there from the download, and then you upload to the radio. You must download from your radio first. It creates a tab that is compatible with your radio. Only a tab that is compatible with your radio can be uploaded to your radio.
When uploading you do not have access to choose the "Vendor" or "Model" when uploading. A tab that is compatible with your radio will already have the correct Vendor/Model selected.
You must Import your "stock confing" files into the tab compatible with your radio or load it into a second tab so you can copy-and-paste the channels between tabs.
