[chirp_users] Baofeng GT-3
Cannot seem to get the connection to this GT-3.
I can connect to the uv-5r and the GT-3TP but the straight doesn't seem to connect.
When I connect and use the BF-F8HP as it has the GT-3 listed below it on the website it tell me that it is not the correct model.
Does the GT-3 need a separate driver for this radio?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thank you 73

you have one of the radios with HN5RV001 firmware so you currently have to choose UV-5R.

The bad news is that it only allow choices to program 2 power levels (HIGH and LOW) which are actually HIGH and MID on your radio. No choice for low. I would appreciate it if you would try this test driver and provide feedback.

hi,
loaded up py file ok.
read my gt-3tpiii with hv, using the f8hp. i set 3 locations as low/med/high. read it back to radio and radio accepted it and works as l/m/h looks good there.
i also, read from radio ok still on uv-5r strange tho, what was low,med and high, showed in chirp high low high but on writing back to radio, radio is still l,m,h
just wrote to radio again, and then it went h/m/h again in uv5r mode.
reading radio as 8hp again, its is h/m/h changed levels back to l/m/h
i used mem location 1,2,3 as l,m,h
on reload of chirp to test img, it failed, but i then reloaded the py module.
saved several img to reload, edit and mess with and all seemed ok. no loss or changed data occur.
i dont have my uv5r here at mo to check that is still ok.
seperatly, can we have use of windows alt keys, ie, on a save yes no cancel dialog box, using keys y/n/esc would do the action as in most other windows apps? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jim Unroe" rock.unroe@gmail.com To: "Discussion of CHIRP" chirp_users@intrepid.danplanet.com Sent: Saturday, April 01, 2017 7:19 PM Subject: Re: [chirp_users] Baofeng GT-3
