I have seen a number of the Chinese handheld that list the capability of remote stun / kill. what in the world is this all about?
Stunning or killing is sending commands over the air that remotely disable a lost or stolen radio.
Different manufacturers and different types of radio systems have different ways of implementing it. I don't know how it is done in cheap Chinese radios. It could be DTMF codes or AFSK data.

I should have also added it can be use by a commercial trunked system operator or service provider to disable radios belonging to customers that didn't pay their bill.
