[chirp_users] Import from stock config - option not available
Evening, I'm trying to find the "Import from stock config" functionality in CHIRP and I don't see it anywhere. The only 4 choices I have are: Radioreference.comRepeaterBookprzemienniki.netRFinder The CHIRP FAQ page indicates "These are canned frequency plans, some of which are built into chirp." Where do I find this "Import from stock config" functionality? Please advise.

Rich,
My guess is that you are running Linux and have installed CHIRP from one of the default repositories. I had to fall all the back to CHIRP v0.1.12 to not have the ability to "Import from stock config". So you must have CHIRP v0.1.12 or older installed.
The latest CHIRP stable build is v0.4.1. Since it is a year old, it is recommended that you install and use the latest daily build. See the download page.

Thanks Jim.
Sorry I didn't clarify this earlier. I am running on a Mac and I downloaded and used the daily build from yesterday.
Thoughts?

The list of choices show that you chose 'Input from data source' instead of 'Import from stock config'. 'Input from stock config' is the fifth choice under 'Radio'

CHIRP 0.4.1 is nearly a year old and the V2+ didn’t exist at that time. Always use CHIRP’s Latest Daily Build.
The V2+ is a copy of the F8HP. That’s the option you need to select.

The 4 options I listed below are the only options available under "Radio / Import from Data Source" and "Radio / Query Data Source". There is no 5th option for "Import from stock config" (greyed out or otherwise). And I have two tabs open at this time: My download from radio tab, and a new empty tab that I just created to see if that would help. The 4 selections are the same on both tabs.
And I'm running on a Mac (Yosemite 10.10.3) if that makes any difference.

You'll have to bear with me, I'm not a Mac person. You do have the "KK7DS Python runtime" installed, right?
Jim KC9HI
Yes sir KK7DS Python Runtime R10 is installed.
I was able to successfully download info from RepeaterBook, so Chirp is partially working. Just no sign of stock config anywhere.
