I thought with the great success I had with my Linux box and my Baofeng that I would try the LT-Luiton 588UV. So hooked everything up and I chose as radio type Leixen which someone in my club told me worked for them on Chirp. My first attempt I got Failed to download from radio: Radio refused program mode. Anyone know what might be causing this error? On my second attempt I thought well it worked so well with the Baofeng maybe I'd try making it think it's a Baofeng. So I selected Baofeng Model BF888 which I think is a mobile radio like mine. The error this time read No response from radio. Any idea? Thanks, Jack
