Is is their a version of chirp that will run on the Raspberry Pi?

It shouldn't be a problem with the version that runs on Linux.

Not extensively tested, but I've been running it on a Raspberry Pi and it works. Here are instructions for getting d-rats running on a Raspberry Pi: http://n0so.net/index.php?id=72 Substitute chirp for d-rats and it should work.
If you want the daily builds, download the .tar.gz file for the daily, unzip it in your home directory, then run the chirpw file from that directory.
