Can't connect with radio no matter what driver I use....tried 3 different dates. Does work with the Chinese app but that is quirky and cumbersome software to use. CHIRP make some kind of initial contact and then shuts off with a beep.
Unfortunately you are not the only one who is having problems with this radio, I believe the problem is that, watching the video which has no audio, shows more files being downloaded than the actual files you get for download, I and others ended up returning the radio and buying another brand. Also, for info, if you are trying to use it for GMRS frequencies, it appears that it will only receive and not transmit.

I have the same problem if I use a Windows 11 PC, no problem when using a Windows 10. To solve it I had to install an older driver, PL2303 Prolific version 1120. You can find it via an internet search, or I can send you the files (actually, put the archive on a file transfer service, because the antivirus will certainly stop it if I send it by email).
