CHIRP remembers the last com port it used.
It doesn't check to see if you changed USB slots.
I run the port scan below.
http://wouxun.us/Software/USB Drivers/FindComPort.exe http://wouxun.us/Software/USB%20Drivers/FindComPort.exe
Then type over the CHIRP selected port.

On Daily Build chirp-daily-20121019-installer.exe, it does not let me change the COM port. It is set on com6 and click on arrow and it only lists com6. Is anyone else seeing this issue?
- I am using Windows 7 Ultimate laptop
- Connected to a Yaesu FT8900
