Re: [chirp_users] CHIRP 0.1.8b5
G'day Dan,
Yep, IC-92AD (Band B). I assigned the memory to Bank "A"
and gave it
a Bank Index of "1". The GUI displayed it as "A-", not
"A", so don't
know if this has something to do with it.
The GUI displays the bank as A-Foo in the memories tab, not the banks tab, right? In the banks tab, it should show just the bank name. The memories tab shows the bank ID (A-Z) and the name so you can easily assign to unnamed banks.
So, is there a problem or are you just asking if that's the correct display?
In the memories tab and drop down list it was displaying as "A-", "B-", etc, not as "A" or "B". More important was the issue that the Bank was not being written to the CSV file.
I can't for the life of me reproduce the issue of changing a bank name and having it re-sort the list.
OK, I'll keep an eye on it. I can manually resort the list if it happens.
Cheers,
davidt

Okay, I'm confused. I've been really busy lately, and so my attention to this has been spotty at best, which might be why I'm having trouble maintaining context.
When I export to a CSV file from my 92, I get a bank number and bank index. The number is 0 for A, 3 for D, etc. The bank index is also a number and is 0 if not set.
Are you not seeing this behavior? Perhaps the numeric bank designation is confusing? I suppose I could make it translate between letters and numbers on export/import...
