[chirp_users] No Support of Wouxon KG699E?
I have mostly been using my Baofeng UV-5R with CHIRP, all good (actually great, running CHIRP under Ubuntu on a $160 Chromebook!). I just got my old Wouxon KG-699E out and tried it with CHIRP, no joy. The KG-699E is not listed among the supported Wouxon radios. I tried each of the supported radios, all resulted in an error message. I don't remember if I ever programmed this radio with CHIRP, but I have to think that I did because manual programming is such a B*TCH, although I might have used Wouxon's dedicated software on some long-gone computer. So, can I use CHIRP with this radio, and if so, how?

Pat, It appears you used the factory software as the Wouxun KG-699E is not supported by CHIRP.
