Re: [chirp_users] chirp_users Digest, Vol 44, Issue 1
Dan,
I have an IC-208H. How do I find a developer? Who long should it take?

Issue #266 has been updated by Dan Smith.
Status changed from New to Rejected
The 208 will remain unimplemented until someone can donate or loan an IC-208H to a developer for implementation.
Closing this since it's a dupe of the outstanding #222.
Thanks!

What is the status of the Icom IC-208H? I see it listed in the Issues but not in the Supported list. Is it under development? What is needed to support it?

Hey Dan,
Has there been any movement on adding this radio? I just bought one and I'm coming up to speed on Dstar (I plan on trying out D-Rats too). Though loaning out the radio for weeks on end would be hard, I'd be more than willing to try out new versions of Chirp code, etc.

Looking around at the support new radio section of your website I see that the icom ic-80AD was added to the list back in Sept 2011. I was wondering if any progress was made to support the radio, or if there are plans to support the radio.
Yep, it's just a matter of getting my hands on the radio for a bit to make sure it gets detected properly. It's the same as the ID-880, so it's really just an identification issue. I've got a contact for one, I just need to schedule a time and get it done.

Well, there are two of us in the US that can do it, and I'm the one that has the most experience with Icoms. I have two things in my queue at the moment and the summer is rather full for me. In Oregon, when the sun comes out, you darn well better enjoy it because you know it's not going to last long :)
If you're interested in a loan, add a comment to ticket #222 and I'll try to remember to circle around in fall and see if you're still interested.
Thanks for the offer -- I'm sure other IC-208 users will be very appreciative :)
