[chirp_users] Using the Wouxon KG-UV8D as a scanner
I've populated my local police and fire frequencies into my 8D. The only issue is, CHIRP tells me that setting the offset to "off" so that the frequency is Rx only is not supported on the 8D. What have others done to make frequencies Rx only? Steve Gouveia pctek@pacbell.net
I am not familiar with the KG-UV8D, but for my KG-UVD1P, under Settings there is a "Freq ranges” selection which allows setting the upper and lower band limits for both TX and RX. If a memory channel is outside the TX band limits, it should be RX-only,

CHIRP does support this option. It appears you are trying to set the wrong field…
Under DUPLEX, select to OFF option
