Greetings,
A new daily build of CHIRP is available. This includes changes made directly to the tree yesterday, and may include additional features, bug fixes, and/or bugs. If you are interested in trying it, grab it from the following location:
http://trac.chirp.danplanet.com/chirp_daily/daily-20151126
A list of the changes included in this build (since the last daily) follows:
Changes for Build #370 [Marco Filippi iz3gme.marco@gmail.com] [ft857/897] Safe convert Yaesu char sequences to string
Sometime in beacon text (or similar settings) an unknown char can be found, we now convert those settings to string in a safer way
Fix #3017
Earlier versions of Daily Build work well but 20151126 does not. I get Error opening _ctypes.pyd. I'm using Windows 10. Thanks John W6LRM

John,
As you can see from the email that you replied to, nothing in the build has changed except the support for the FT857/897. But just the same, I just installed the CHIRP daily-20151126 build into my Windows 10 virtual machine. CHIRP launched just fine and I just downloaded from one of my radios, edited the data and uploaded it back without any issues.
I would suggest downloading the file again and installing it again.
Jim KC9HI
Thanks very much

I get the same issue, same problem with Windows 8. Tried downloading and install three times with no luck.

I am having similar results running a Macbook with os 10.7.5. The zip file unzips but running the installer nothing at all happens once I tell it to open. It does not give me an error but it never installs either.
Thank you.

Jim,
My guess is that this is a totally separate issue for you. Is this the first installation of CHIRP on your Macbook? It sounds like you may have overlooked the requirement to download and install the KK7DS Python runtime for Mac OSX? Visit the CHIRP download page a take a look at the first bullet point in the "MacOS Users" section for details and a link to the KK7DS Python runtime.
