[chirp_users] Unable to write to VX8GR
Hello, New to chirp. I am able to query the radio, make changes to my image, but I can not write it back to the radio. I can get the radio into receive mode and it looks like it works, but no new changes.
On my windows based programming software I have to change the version of my img file from the stock one. Is there something like this I need to do in Chirp?
Thank you,
Jim KD8BZS
Hi
On my vx5r to send a modified file back to the rig I usually have to do a reset on it to clear all the memories to empty. The send the new set to the rig.
WARNING!!!! By definition this clears all memories, this is what I do with the ADAMS software from Yaesu and the Chirp. Just carry over habit, but it works for me.
