[chirp_users] Receive noise while moving
I found two YouTube videos that show JT-6188 and UV-5R noise while moving. It doesn't appear to be the same thing happening on both radios as I thought it might be. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HBwk0M79DYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jl40YU3Jsc4

I have this issue with a QYT KT-8900. I have spent hours checking the antenna and coax. I have swapped radios, all for naught. I hope somebody figures it out!
If your antenna wobbles when driving, that can cause noise. Get a stiffer antenna.

First one sounds like "picket Fencing", the second one is signal levels.

And neither can be solved with radio programming, so this thread is really outside the scope of Chirp.

Kirby, What does it sound like? Signal "flutters"? Like the first link Tom posted?

Hi all,
This thread is really off-topic for CHIRP. Please find another place to discuss these issues, or email each other directly.
Every time a thread like this starts, we get a bunch of unsubscribes because there are a lot of people here that are looking only for CHIRP information. Remember, there are nearly 2000 people subscribed to this list, all of which came here for information about CHIRP.
Thanks!
