[chirp_users] MAC & Yaesu FT2d?
Running CHIRP on a MacBook Pro running 10.7.?. I can access my FT60R but the FT2D is throwing an error code about the USB port not being installed?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Go to the Apple menu, about this Mac, click System Report, load Extensions under the Software tab. Once it is loaded, it may take a bit, look for your driver, mine says “SillabsUSBDriver” or whatever brand you are using. If it is there, then the driver is there and your dongle should be recognized and should work. Let us know what you find.

That tells me the driver is not compatible for Mac. Finding Mac drivers for dongles is a trying effort. Unless the dongle has a Mac specific driver, you are wasting your time. I would check with the main-stay companies like RT Systems to see if they have released Mac drivers for their programming cables. They indicated to me they were on the way. I programed my HT’s and portable dual banders using RT’s and their software and a Window’s machine. If you know someone with a windows computer and they are willing to let you use it, I would pay the $49 for the RT systems programs.
I use MacLoggerDx for my HF stuff and they support many HF radio’s and dual banders. You might go on their site to see what dongles they suggest.
