2nd question. I originally got it working on my very old personal laptop running Vista. I was able to save a cloning image to do the rest of the work radios. Today i got it operational on my work laptop (Windows 7). I read a radio and went to save the image for future use. Nothing happened when i clicked save or save as. I went to close the program intending to restart chirp and it asked if i wanted to save i said yes and the dialog box closed and chirp remained open. I have looked through the settings, but i am sure i am missing something. Thanks for any help !

Nate,
Where are you trying to save the file? Don't save it in the CHIRP folder where the program is. Create a folder in your Documents area and save it there.
If that still doesn't work, right-click the CHIRP shortcut and choose "Run as administrator" and if that makes a difference.

Good morning Mr Unroe,
On my personal computer, when i would click "save as" a dialog box would pop up where i could browes where to save the image. I saved those to a file on my desktop, outside of chirp. On my work computer, when i click "save" or "save as" nothing happens. When i go to close the program, it asks if i wish to save the file, i click yes,the program closes and no dialog box appears to select where to save. I did the run as administrator and its still the same. My personal computer runs vista and my work runs win7. Thank you
