[chirp_users] Yaesu FT-857D
Using CHIRP for Yaesu FT-857D. Noticed when I reprogram radio display defaults to 'Tag' which shows station name. I use frequency instead. I find no option in CHIRP to change this default. Has anyone found this option in CHIRP? Thanks.

actually, i on my pc for my 857d editor, looked and no, i cant find it either.
mine is working as i want, but i read my radio first and edited existing.
and also in cw training is spelt wrong. 20170212
will update now i think tho and rechk op.

Hi Doc, The flag that says to fd857 to display freq instead of tag is not "explicitly" supported by Chirp. If there's no no station name on a memory row Chirp tells ft857 to display freq otherwise it set the "show tag" flag for that memory.
Can you try to delete (some) station names a see if this works for you?
