Programmed some radios for club members and successfully programmed a couple of UV-5Rs. The a guy showed up with a GT-3. Used the GT-3WP selection and tried to upload a file. I got some kind of firmware mismatch message. Did spend a lot of time with it, but just asking if anyone has run across this problem and how to fix.... de NH6BF
Often with Baofengs I have to download from the radio first, then modify that downloaded file by copying memory selections from another config, then upload that file.

With ANY radio, you should download first to make sure CHIRP will be using the right parameters.
