[chirp_users] slow to populate
Howdy All, I opened an edited CSV file, which originally came from Chirp. This is on a Tytera 9800. Using windows 10. So I downloaded from the radio, selected all memories and deleted them, and then opened an old Chirp CSV file, and I made some edits to it. It has around 227 channels in it. But it is really slow to populate the fields, and I can't get to the settings tab while it's working on the memories. Upload isn't available yet. It's been almost a half hour. Does this mean there is something amiss with my CSV file? I get no errors. I'm using chirp-next-20230515-installer.exe Thanks.

I seem to have better luck copying and pasting from Libre Calc, I finally got something uploaded. Glenn ----- Original Message ----- From: K0LNY To: Discussion of CHIRP Sent: Tuesday, May 23, 2023 6:17 PM Subject: [chirp_users] slow to populate

Hi Glenn,
Attach your CSV file so it can be examined.

Well I thought copying and pasting worked, but nothing went into the radio, that is why upload was available. So back to opening the CSV file. And it won't upload. I took out the last entry, which was lower than 30 Mhz. I'll attach my file if you can see what is wrong. Chirp did originally tell me that I had 0.000 in a frequency spot, so I fixed that, but it does not tell me of any errors now, it just won't upload. Thanks.

This CSV file loads almost instantly into my Windows 10 Pro 64-bit computer.
You do know that you cannot directly upload a CSV file into a "clone mode" radio, right? You must download from your radio (or load a previously saved CHIRP Radio Images (*.img) file that was created by downloading from your radio) to open a tab that is compatible with your radio. Then you have to copy-and-paste the memory rows from the CSV file tab to the tab from your radio. Once that is done, you can upload the tab from your radio back into your radio.

Absolutely, the same way I've been doing it with Chirp for years. Glenn ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jim Unroe" rock.unroe@gmail.com To: "Discussion of CHIRP" chirp_users@intrepid.danplanet.com Sent: Wednesday, May 24, 2023 11:56 AM Subject: Re: [chirp_users] slow to populate

Well I looked at the models on the Chirp site, and noticed that the TH-9800 Tyt model has an asterisk by it, so I loaded up my windows 7 and ran the old Chirp, and the CSV file was loaded successfully. I just could not get it to upload with Chirp-Next. I was able to download and do a bit with the settings, but not all the selections in settings were read with a screenreader. If I didn't add any memories, I could affect changes in settings and upload those settings. My beep was too high, so I changed it to 5 from 8. I need to know when a button is pressed, just not in such an annoying way.
