I installed.... The confusing thing is that when setting a squelch threshold to zero for testing, the squelch doesn't stay open. This is confusing... a zero threshold should be the same a zero squelch, correct?

That is the way these radios behave. Zero (0) isn't a valid value for SQL values 1-9 just like values above 1 are not valid for SQL 0. It was easy to make SQL 0 uneditable. Why would you want to program SQL 1-9 as 0 when you can just use SQL 0?

Ok... that makes sense
Folks, Went to pull down the latest and greatest, and I am greeted with the screen that tells all about the latest and greatest. Down at the bottom of the screen where it gives the info on the tar file, it tells those using Ubuntu to install the ppa, but when you do that you get code that is dated 20160110.
So now do I download the real tar file and install it, will it overwrite the install from the ppa or do I need to clear that out? If so then would it not be better to remove it or is the ppa supposed to update with each new build?
