[chirp_users] Support for CS800D??
Hi Folks, I have not looked too much online, but it does not appear that anyone has setup the Chirp to work with the Connect System radios. I happen to have picked up the CS800D. Please correct me if I am wrong...

Will,
Chirp can only program analog radios. The CS800D is DMR so you need a code plug, which is a fairly complex configuration file. I'd suggest searching online for "cs800d ciodeplug" to locate one and learn more about DMR. I found one for my AT-868UV HT here and one for the CS800D code plug can be found at http://arrl-ohio.org/digital/kb8lkh.html and other sites.

Will,
It's late and I should have been more focused. The code plug I provided the link to is for OH and contains OH DMR repeaters and related info. You'd need one for your part of NY to get the DMR repeaters and local talk groups, and other relevant data for your area. There probably is a DMR club in your area that may provide a code plug and offer general help. If you go to the Connect Systems website you'll find software to allow editing code plug files and creating code plugs. Be warned: these files are somewhat complex and there's a steep learning curve to understand their contents.

Good Morning,
Thanks for the info. I didn't look to see if other DMR radios were included or supported. Not a problem. I have the radio setup and I have a couple of codeplugs for the radio. I just liked the way that chirp works ;-)
