[chirp_users] FT-60 upload erroor
Hello, having an issue programing an FT-60. I can download from the FT-60 fine but when I try to upload to the FT-60 I receive an immediate error that radio did not respond. I have uninstalled and reinstalled CHIRP but same result. Any suggestions would be appreciated. John K4IIY
What operating system are you using? Windows, Mac, Linux? I had that problem (or similar) with Linux, I used a friend's laptop to bypass the problem.
Can you send the error log?

Thanks for the info DR I’m using a windows laptop with all the latest updates. I think I’m going to have to try a different cable If no other fix is known John K4IIY

The FT-60 seems very critical of the cable used to connect computer to radio. Works fine with the genuine Yaesu cable.

I too found it to be very picky about the cable. I tried two from Amazon with different chips in each, and neither worked with CHIRP. I was able to get one to work with FT-60 Commander by using its “Alternate Cable Config”…or something like that. I don’t recall the exact menu choice.
