[chirp_users] Call for community support to improve VX-3 and VX-6 support.
Would you like to help CHIRP improve support for Yaesu VX-3 and VX-6? I have just completed adding complete support for VX-2 and FT-90 into CHIRP.
As I have recently acquired a VX-3 and VX-6, I am currently looking into improving some of the features and support for these radios.
Please help me by donating $5 towards my goal of $110.12 which covers the cost of the OEM programming cables and software which are needed to achieve this.
My current project goals are to, by the end of the year, implement complete settings menus and banks support for VX-3 and VX-6.
If I am unsuccessful in completing this objective, I'll refund the donations.

In case people aren't used to seeing Jens' name here, let me confirm that he is an active developer, with many fixes and features added to existing drivers, and one whole driver under his belt.

I just sent my donation to Jens to support this activity, and would encourage any VX-6 or VX-3 users to do the same, if able. I own a VX-3, but don't prioritize my development time for that driver. If you're interested in better support for either of these radios, please encourage Jens to maintain his interest :)
Thanks Jens!
I pitch in $50.
How do I do it?
Please also integrate chirp with the UV 55 radio. How can I support this.

Thanks to everyone that has donated. I'm encouraged by the support, and was able to reach the goal in less than 24 hours! The CHIRP community is strong.
I have put the cables for both VX-3 and VX-6 on order, so will be starting on this soon!
Continued donations are welcome, but please donate directly to CHIRP project from chirp.danplanet.com.
Thanks to the following folks for your donations!!

Indeed, thanks to the above people, and all the others who have contributed time, money, or equipment to this project. It's pretty amazing for a piece of free software to support all the devices we do, and it wouldn't be possible without users that realize nothing is truely cost-free.
