WOW, really appreciate your comprehensive reply, now it's archived, so others hopefully can benefit.. Is that really true that since 2014 there have been newer firmware but no detected changes? or this list is out of date: http://www.miklor.com/uv5r/UV5R-Firmware.php
I'm trying to figure the best firmware to look for in a new purchase. Thanks.
