I am trying to read my FT-1802 with the latest version of Chirp and the radio displays "ERROR" while the program tells me it is a different yaesu radio (VXA ???). Any help?

I believe the FT-1802 driver was actually designed against the FT-1802M. It could be that these two similar radio models report slightly different model IDs to Chirp and Chirp gives up thinking it's not supported. This is just a guess--your debug log likely contains a definitive answer.
