Hi Guys, I just downloaded Chirp and I am at the home page.
I don't see where to log the radio that I want to connect to is.
I see the complete radio list but where do I go from here ??
What do you mean you 'downloaded Chirp"?
You downloaded a zip file and expanded it and installed it?
You're looking at the homepage?
If you installed the program, start it, say you want to read the radio (icon with arrow pointing away from the radio), and it will prompt you to pick a manufacturer/brand, radio model, and com port.

It brings me to the radio listing page showing all the radios, but it won’t let me highlight on any and click on them to open.
I’m confused, I would think there would be a drop down on the radio you want to program but there isn’t and I can’t see where you open the radio to log into it.
I’m not very computer literate, I can use them, but when it comes to downloading, adding ports etc. I’m out of my relm

You need to click the "get it" button on that page. Chirp runs on your local computer, it does not work in a web browser, it needs to be downloaded and installed before you can use it.
Yep, that’s the page I'm on. I'll take a closer look

I haven't lost my mind... ...it's backed up on a tape somewhere.
With that page simply click on the `download` link and it gives you this page
[image: image.png] .Under the CHIRP-next header there is another download link as well as a link a little further down to reach the installation instructions for linux.
Simply read those instructions and download the appropriate package for the OS you are using. Then follow the instructions and installation is made easy for you.
