The 9800 has two vfo sides. Usually referred to by users as right side and kept side. The left side encompasses all four bands and receives other non-amateur radio bands. The right side only handles the 2-meter and 70-cm bands.
My question, how program each side separately? I have a list of 2-meter and 70-cm repeaters that I would like to program to the right side of the radio. Leaving the left side for 25, 50 and non transmit frequencies.

Stephen, I have a similar radio to the7900 one that you have. I have the TYT TH-7900 model. Imam wondering the same thing that you are. How to program each side separately. I hope that someone will come to the rescue and will be able to help us out. Id/loaded the chirp program (I have Windows 10) and surprisingly, I could not pull up a help file. I must admit that I am somewhat computer illiterate but I do know what button to press to bring up a help file :<).
