[chirp_users] New Daily Build
Greetings,
A new daily build of CHIRP is available. This includes changes made directly to the tree yesterday, and may include additional features, bug fixes, and/or bugs. If you are interested in trying it, grab it from the following location:

A list of the changes included in this build (since the last daily) follows:
changeset: 1053:c986672c880a tag: tip user: Dan Smith dsmith@danplanet.com date: Fri May 27 10:59:11 2011 -0700 files: chirp/directory.py description: Don't list the ic9x subdevices in the directory (just like all the others)
This was causing ic9x radios to only show one band (somtimes) on MacOS due to inconvenient sorting of the hash keys.
changeset: 1052:ccd1d14dd734 user: Dan Smith dsmith@danplanet.com date: Fri May 27 10:17:47 2011 -0700 files: chirp/directory.py chirp/rfinder.py chirpui/mainapp.py description: Add the RFinder database as an import source
RFinder is a subscription-based repeater database. This adds an item under the Radio menu for "Import from RFinder".

This is another online repeater database that aims for more worldwide coverage. They are moving to a subscription model but right now it will accept any email/password combination, so give it a try before they lock it down. Note that queries from this database take a LONG time, so be patient.
Also note that I've modified the automatic build process to generate a .app file for MacOS. This still requires the runtime, and it still actually downloads the source the first time you run it, but it's a start. If someone that is using chirp_osx.sh right now could try the new .app and validate that it works, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks!

Also tested on my macbook and the app download seems to work just fine. Looks good!

Ah, very good, thanks!
I'm actually planning another release of the runtime package that will, at least have a MacOS themed GTK for more native look-and-feel. At most, it will have a quartz-enabled GTK so that X11 isn't required, and so that the interaction is a little closer to normal.
More details on that later... :)
