I'm having a devil of a time figuring out how to do this... I'm looking through all sorts of fields and functions looking for anything that looks relevant. All I can find is length (3, 4, or 5) and PTT-ID that isn't a way to set the code, but just when it's transmitted. I was given a 4 digit code that is now a requirement on one of the repeaters I use, but no info on how to apply it.

If you are programming a Baofeng radio, ANI is global and PTT-ID is per channel. Also ANI has to piggy back upon and PTT-ID. So if you want to program a channel to use ANI at EOT (end of transmission). You have to program a PTT-ID to play at EOT and then program ANI to play at EOT. If you want PTT-ID to play at BOT (betting of transmission) ANI to play at EOT, then you must program PTT-ID to be BOTH and ANI at EOT. If you program PTT-ID to BOT and ANI to EOT then you will get the PTT-ID at the press of PTT and nothing at the release of PTT.
I made a post several years ago in the RadioReference forums that describes this in more detail. You might search for it to see if you can find it.

Umm, thanks, but I'm still left with no idea where to set the ANI-ID. What exact setting should I be using? Where in Settings would I find it? What is it called?
