[chirp_users] Radio Reference problem?

I'm trying to download from RR via chirp and all I'm getting is the hourglass. No response from the programme. It is not locked up as I can close it, and I do have an account with RR. I left the programme running for 10 minutes with no response.
Any clues?
Thanks Les K4LEA

The clues will be in your debug.log.

Yes you need to pay them $15 dollars for a six month subscription. RepeaterBook is free and well populated. Us it for query imports.

Yes, I love Repeater Book also. I have it on my iPad . He keeps most repeaters updated. I usually update repeaters for him for the South Texas area including mine

P. S. Also have an app called REPEATERS by W4SMT. It shows repeater by list and map. I highly recommend this app as well.

You are trying to download via your internet provider from Chirp? Like what, a query from one of the sources? Do you have any firewall set up? Or port blocking? Can you visit the site on HTTP:// on port 80? Are you using a proxy? Post a copy of your log file.

Make sure you can ping the RR database server's IP address , it may be down. I had a similar problem with querying Repeater Book, and it ended up being a network problem.
