Hello - I am new to ham radio and studying for my license as a casual user / prepper. I have 2 new 82Ls and have spent a great deal of time trying to find a video on YouTube that can get me up and running in the 28205 / Charlotte area. So far, I have been in Miklor and CHIRP but can't figure out how to find, program and enjoy my radio. I have loaded the correct cable drivers, downloaded my factory image and have found various lists of pubic safety and amateur frequencies; even donated to CHRIP. I want to listen, scan and use as two-way while camping. Is there a good reference, video or otherwise that can help get me up and running? Regards, Craig
