Good evening, I can't seem to upload to my UV5, I have CHIRP on an XP machine, I have downloaded the channel info from my UV5-RE 293.
From the help menu I have listed versions GTK 2.24.10 PyGTK 2.24.0 Python 2.7.2 When I try to upload, the radio type & file type buttons are grayed out, can't be changed. Thanks for you help, Tom

This is very intentional--uploading an image to a different radio type would be very bad. Just click OK to upload to the same type of radio.

If you are trying to upload to two different types of UV5. You need to download from the UV-5RE, then load your saved image from the other UV-5R, The upload that to the UV-5RE. The 293 version,is different, and you need to download from the radio, to tell CHIRP, what version of the firmware, you are going to download to.
