i would like to know if settings support for the yaesu ft-8900r is planned?, if not i would like to request settings support for the yaesu ft-8900r. thank you.

I may have misread your inquiry. The radio is supported by CHIRP on a channel basis. You were inquiring specifically about the Settings Tab.
To request a feature or support be added, go to the CHIRP website: http://chirp.danplanet.com/projects/chirp/wiki/Home Register to the website (upper right corner) Select the Issues Tab and verify that the request for the new radio hasn't already been submitted. If it's not found, select the New Issue tab and submit your request. Check back periodically to review the status of your request.
These gentlemen are a dedicated group of strictly volunteers that do this as a Labor of Love for the amateur community.
