I seem to have inadvertently set channel A to receive only. That is, I cannot switchh to it via the A/B button or switch to it via the PTT top. I cannot find ant specific control that performs this function. Does anyone have any thoughts?

When you view the channel data in Chirp, receive-only channels will show "off" in the duplex column. Change it to any one of the other options (whatever is appropriate) and the channel will allow transmit.

It does when it is on B but not on A. A also gets locked on the channel set at boot time and won't change channels.

I got it. The Dual Watch priority switch was set to B. It simply did what I had told it to. Thanks for your help.

Set Menu 34 TDR-AB to OFF. Setting to A or B locks it to the top or bottom display.

I forgot... that menu setting is Advance Settings/Dual Watch Priority in Chirp.

A and B are not channels. They display the channels or frequencies you are currently using. If you have your real channels set improperly, then you would possibly have those problems. Review the FAQs and website of www.miklor.com. Answers lots and lots of questions.

Thanks. I got it. The transmit priority switch was set to B. So, it is now Off and all is well. Thanks. Steve WM4SGO
