Dan, I have a Baofeng BF-888S UHF hand-held, and am trying to program it. The BF-480 program is identified as the right software, but I can't get a copy to download that will work, either on my 64-bit Windoze 7 or Windoze XP based computers. I'm told that one of the UV series softwares works, the 3 or 5, I'm not sure as suggestions here are conflicting. Does the CHIRP program handle these cheap talkies yet? Under either the UV-3 or UV-5 models versions? TIA 73 Terry de wd4aon@arrl.net
I'm currently working on support for the HST H-777, which I believe is the same as the BF-888S.
Looking through the source code I didn't see any other 16 channel radios so I suspect it isn't supported at the moment.
I keep finding mentions of other radios on the internet which look like the same thing with different badges. I believe all of these are identical: Baofeng BF-480 Baofeng BF-666S Baofeng BF-888S Baofeng BF-777S BHD B-828 Zastone ZT-V68 HST (恒顺通) H-777
It's the same situation with the Powerwerx 16 channel monoband radios vs the Wouxon that they are private-labeled from.
Looking through the source code I didn't see any other 16 channel radios so I suspect it isn't supported at the moment.
