[chirp_users] UV5R7W
This HT was sold at the Dayton Hamvention as a 7 watt HT with a 3800MAH battery, In trying to program it as a UV5R I could read from the radio but could not install a new image on the radio as I was getting a Unsupported Firmware Version N5R3407BFP3-23XX error. This radio's drivers are experamental. I had found out the chip version of the Baofeng programming cable was needing the Prolific 2303 TA drivers which I got from the Prolific web page and these worked ok. I then discovered you must download the radio as a Baofeng BF-F8HP image and this solved all the problems. Dave,
So far, all Baofeng radios with 3 power levels use the BF-F8HP model selection. The UV-5R7W has been added to the Supported Radios list on the home/wiki page.
