[chirp_users] Jetstream 270M
I've never used CHIRP and I am very confused. I just purchased a JT270M and can read from radio to CHIRP, but not write CHIRP to the radio. Jetstream advised me that CHIRP and the 270M will not work with WIN 10. I will not get into the quality of support from them in this section.
I do have a machine with WIN7 on it and I get the same issue. I did get the VV898 software to load the 270 M ( 1 test freq)but with errors (No ALPHA Tag). Jetstream suggested a different prolific driver, but as of yet, nothing has been offered to me from them to use. I am fair with computers, and I wish to determine the following:
1) Which OS to use
2) Which driver do I use for the prolific driver (USB w/chipset)
3) Any other suggestions that you may have.

Generally if you are running any version of windows from Vista and up any you have a programming cable with a Prolific type chip, you must download, install and select the older Prolific v3.2.0.0 driver.

His suggestion will either work or it won't work. Have you tested it? You could test it quicker than waiting for some kind stranger to call you.
