Gentlemen, I have an older, pristine, XP machine, that I’m attempting to install CHIRP onto. I’m not a software expert by any imagination. I’m getting the error message: C:\Program Files\Chirp\chirpw.exe This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstall... which I have several times.
XP version 2002 with SP2
I have purposely kept, and still want to keep the machine, off line.
What have I done wrong with the install? Went through wiki and messages, but nothing jumps out.
Thank you, John
May need Winxp Sp3?

Thanks. I will get this no matter what, as have another, with XP Pro I’d like to keep alive. Didn’t want to mess up the PC trying to install updates. To those that wonder why, some of us are post transistor, know valves/tubes, but remember when LCD display wrist watches were the new thing. :{)}
