[chirp_users] New User of Chirp
Hello to the Group: I just rec'd a Baofeng UV-5R from China, and would like to request information on what the best programming software to use for it. I am hoping to find a program that is not too complex to install and get running. Thanks for your help.

This list is for discussion of just one software (Chirp), for other software and/or comparisons of which is best I'd suggest a more general Ham radio forum such as https://forums.radioreference.com/amateur-radio/ or https://www.hamradioforum.net/forum.php or https://www.eham.net/ehamforum/smf/index.php or https://forums.qrz.com/index.php or many more.
Personally I use Chirp because a lot of other software is Windows only which would require a significant amount of time maintaining a Windows OS.
