[chirp_users] Help in programming a uv-5
I have an uv-5r and unable to program. When I use Chirp I see the program, but the upload to radio is greyed out.
I have windows 7 and have all the current updates. the cable is black and I have tried to load all drivers.
Any guidance would be helpful as I need to program about 15 radios
I have been having same problem with UV-5RA radio.

Clif,
I have the same HT's and I first reset the HT, then connected them to my Mac and clicked 'download from radio' to make a template. That template I used to enter my settings and frequencies. Then I saved the document and uploaded it to the HT. For my second and third HT I only reset them and uploaded the data to the radio.
I hope this will help you.

Clif,
You must download from the radio first to get a tab that shows "Baofeng UV-5R:" in it. Then you can edit that and upload it to your radio. If you have already programmed channels on a generic tap, load it too. Then you can copy and paste from the generic tab to the Baofeng UV-5R: tab. Only tabs prefixed with "Baofeng UV-5R:" will be allowed to be uploaded to your radio.
