Greetings,
A new daily build of CHIRP is available. This includes changes made directly to the tree yesterday, and may include additional features, bug fixes, and/or bugs. If you are interested in trying it, grab it from the following location:
http://trac.chirp.danplanet.com/chirp_daily/daily-20130223
A list of the changes included in this build (since the last daily) follows:
Changes for Build #171 [Dan Smith dsmith@danplanet.com] Add AnyTone 5888UV support
Note that the upload/download process takes much longer than the OEM software at this point. That is because the OEM software is optimizing by checking to see what memories are in use and only down/uploading the parts of the memory that it has to. This may be added in chirp at a later date, but it's tricky to get correct.
Addresses #365
[Dan Smith dsmith@danplanet.com] Add ALL_DTCS_CODES and use that for gating the memory values
Also adds valid_dtcs_codes to RadioFeatures, defaulting to the common set so nothing else should have to change.
Needed for #365
[Dan Smith dsmith@danplanet.com] Make crashing tests report where in the test they're being called from
Need while working on #365
[Dan Smith dsmith@danplanet.com] Fix parse_freq to handle cases like ".6" after recent change
Broken in the fix for #595
Changes for Build #171 [Dan Smith dsmith@danplanet.com] Add AnyTone 5888UV support
As always, reports from owners of this radio would be appreciated!
I'll make comments on what I think regarding it operating on OS-X when I try it later.

This is for the recently added Baofeng F-11 support. When making changes to either the tone mode or the tone frequency this error box pops up
Unable to make changes to this model
Sometimes the application will freeze requiring a restart. This is the Mac OS-X port. The data source is RepeaterBook and I'm trying to add tone encode to one UHF and one VHF repeater that require tone encode.
Would someone add this to the issues list, I never did figure out how to do that.

You're trying to modify a repeaterbook query, not a file from the F-11. You need to download from your radio first, and then you can make changes. If you want to import stuff from repeaterbook, then either query and copy/paste what you want or use "Radio -> Import from Data Source"
This is unrelated to the F-11 driver itself, of course.
Yeah my bad. I should know better by now than to not stop and think it over before I start asking questions. It was obvious after I hit the send button that the query wasn't for any radio specifically so that's why it couldn't be modified. I downloaded from the radio, did command + a to select all the cells and mass deleted them. I then copy+paste from the query file and customized the settings. After I was done I saved as an .img file and the wrote to the radio. The Wouxun cable worked flawlessly with the F-11.
Can't wait to try the Feb 23 build on my Anytone 5888UV, their software is horrible. I'll try it later tonight. I'll use a Windoze PC for that since the two are in another room.

You will want to wait for tomorrow's build. I've already found and fixed a couple of critical issues this morning.
Ok thx. Don't want to brick the radio.

No, nothing like that. I'd not have released it if there was any concern over that. It's just not setting the used flags properly, which makes new memories in channels 1-32 not show up on the radio after programming. They're there, just not shown.
Anyway, stand by for tomorrow's build.
I was able to figure out how to make changes as the file has to be exported then reopened. However that file cannot be written back to the radio, grayed out, so I guess it's a matter of downloading from the Baofeng F-11, cut and past, the upload.
Seems just a case of operator error.
